Sporty heels from Mini Prix

Although Harper's Bazaar said sporty heels are totally out, I say the hell with it ( it only shows very expensive stuff anyway) and I'm gonna show you how to create 3 different outfits with them. As I told you before I'm a little maniac when I find clothes I like and I end up buying the same item in 2 different colours/prints. This also happened with some sporty heels I found at Mini Prix a couple of weeks ago, so I bought them in brown and also grey.
Cum v-am spus si mai demult, nu am masura atunci cand gasesc o haina care-mi place si ajung sa o cumpar in 2 exemplare in culori/printuri diferite. Asta mi s-a intamplat si acum cateva saptamani, cand am gasit botinele astea sport, asadar le-am cumparat si pe maro, si pe gri.

The first outfit is an office one, in neutral colours. I started with the dress I wore here, some brown tights(100 DEN cause it's cold outside), a beige trench and a brown collar.
Prima tinuta e una oarecum office, in culori neutre.

(dress-TCM, trench - Esprit, collar - Bershka)

I wore the second outfit at the Christmas party, hence the red pants. The white sweater was a gift and I never found a proper occasion to wear it because of it's fluffyness (it looks as if I have sheep fur at my neck and wrists), but on that day I couldn't find a better way to express the warmth and sheer joy of the holidays. It wasn't that cold outside, so I put my leather jacket on and added a touch of chicness (searched it in the dictionary, it's a real word :p) with an animal print beret.

(pants - Stradivarius; beret - bought at a random fair)

For the last one I mixed both feminine and masculine, creating a playful outfit I can wear at school. I rolled up my boyfriend jeans, so that my boots were seeable, but added a marilyn monroe tee and a fur vest.

(jeans - Miss Sixty; tee - Bershka; fur vest - Promod; cardigan - Reserved)

As you can see, it's pretty easy to mix and match these boots, especially because they have different shades of brown and you can add simpler pieces. I personally prefer to wear brown with either red and off-white/beige, or with dark blue/purple/kaki.
Stay tuned 'cause in my next post I will show you another 3 ways to wear sporty heels, this time the grey ones.

Ruffled socks

You can't really tell in the picture, but my socks have ruffles and that's pretty much the main reason I lifted them up ( nevermind that they were the same colour as the flowers on my skirt, that's a bonus). I'm on a hunt for tights and over-the-knee socks right now, 'cause that's the only way I can wear shorts/skirts in the winter time.

Busy Bee at work

Another random day at work, just fooling around and matching with the flowers on the walls :):) It's so easy to create an office look, you can add a blazer on top of anything you are wearing and you get that more "serious/responsible" loo.

Zebras are cool!

I tried another kind of animal print today, as I'm getting used to seeing leopard everywhere.
I really love the black&white combination because as simple as it is, you can always find a way to look different, by adding a strong colour like deep blue or even fuchsia. If you are more conservative you can always add that touch of red as I did in the previous post.
Because the heels and the cardi were already too much for one outfit (you can't really tell from the pictures, but the heels are snakeskin), I tempered it down with a grey top and black skirt & tights.

In contrast with nature

I love being in contrast with nature, so when all I can see around me is yellow, red & brown, I choose black&white for my outfit. I started with simple black pants, that are at least 2 sizes bigger than what I normally wear ( I tried them on to be sure they won't fall down if I don't wear a belt). I wanted to create a casual office look, so I continued with an XL printed T-shirt and a long black cardigan ( because you kinda need to cover up your backside when you wear these pants, they don't fit tightly and you look like you don't have a bottom). For the usual pop of color I chose my red wedges, and on top - my studded leather jacket ( it always creates a great contrast with another style such as office)

Oranges Street

We actually have a street named Oranges in Bucharest.. well, it's more like an alley and it' s our newest address for pijama parties. We love Aleea Portocalelor!

Goodbye, Fall!

Pictures taken in Campulung, some weeks ago. I so miss fall right now. It shouldn't be a shock winter is here and I should be glad because this weather allows great layering ... still I can't seem to adapt to the cold outside :(

Sweetest friends

A nice sunday afternoon spent with my sweetest friends, hence the big smile on my face. I love how we all try to say something at one time and we still understand each other. Just take a look at the last picture and you'll see what I mean.

Flowers week

What better ways we have to enlighten these cold windy days than to wear flowers?

The day after the party

So, here comes the day after the party, when I'm completely not in the mood for make up or a hairdo and especially not for dressing-up. It's like a free day, and as you can see below, I randomly picked some clothes and went out to get some fresh air (that day was a bit rainy, hence the boots).

Girls' night out

Nothing like a girls' night out, wearing some diy ripped jeans, boyfriend shirt, black tights & high heels. Sorry for looking the other way in these pictures, but sometimes at night I really hate the flash light.

Over the last month

Well, I finally found time to do some catching-up on the blog. Since I started my final year at Law School i't been very hard to find time to do anything. My day starts very early in the morning and ends around 9 pm, when I arrive back home. I have a lot of outfit pictures and the surprise I promised: I changed my hair colour, it' caramel chocolate right now :) I also challenged myself to have an outfit theme for each week. Bellow you can see the first picture from " something brown" week.

A night at the museum

Every once in a while our city organizes a Museum Night, when you can visit certain museums without paying entrance fees until 3 or 4 in the morning. It's not like you can't visit them anytime, but I especially like the city in these nights because it seems happy, joyfull and most of all you can feel a little safe while walking darker streets. I also indulge myself with some freshly-baked kurtos kalacs, as you can see in my bag. These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago. Now that I started school and I have to wake up at 6:30 AM I can't even conceive leaving my warm home in the morning with just a blouse, thights & shorts. It's amazingly cold outside for this time of year. Brrr!

Floral rainboots

I'm very much into floral prints and khakis right now, as you can see.
